CAMC to build irrigation project in Philippines



China CAMC Engineering Co took on a pump irrigation project on Chico River in Philippines, as an agreement was signed between the company and the country’s National Irrigation Administration on March 8.

According to the agreement, a new pump station, a transformer substation and supporting facilities will be built on the right bank of Chico River at a cost of $73.04 million. The construction will take three years.

The project is of great significance in economic and trade cooperation between China and Philippines. It is also the first infrastructure project in Philippines which will receive loan from the Chinese government.
