The 14th China Intl Machine Tool and Tools Exhibition (CIMES) was held by China National Machinery Industry Co (Sinomach) in Beijing on June 26.

With a theme of innovation, intelligence, precision and profession, the event ran for five days with a total exhibition area of 120,000 square meters.

More than 1,300 companies from 32 countries and regions, including the United States, Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, Spain, Japan and South Korea, took part in the exhibition. The number of professional visitors was expected to reach 150,000.

A national tool cutting application competition also took place alongside the exhibition, with the aim of identifying and training high-end workers for the fast-growing manufacturing industry.

The largest machine tools expo by scale, the CIMES has been held every two years in Beijing since 1992. This year’s event gathered more new concepts and resources to build a comprehensive service platform for technological exchange and cooperation between Chinese and foreign businesses.
